Empowering Women's Retirement

Specialized financial services for women to secure a comfortable retirement and prepare for the future.

It Started with a Woman in Mind

Women are different then men. We live longer and earn less. We pay more to purchase goods and services, from health insurance to hair care. We are often the primary caretakers for our children and our parents, stretching our limits even further.

And more often than not, we are the surviving spouse, left to pick up the pieces with little-to-no financial guidance.

WatchDog Planning was started to help women prepare for these challenges and face them with confidence. Since 2018, we've been helping women and their families navigate the complexities of retirement and find solutions that work for them.

Our mission is to help women plan for good retirement outcomes, no matter what stage of life or challenge she faces.

About the Founder

Nancy Nawn, CFP®, CIMA®, RMA®, RSSA®

I was raised by a single mom who worked a lot for very little pay. Her struggle nurtured my interest in money and the fear of not having enough of it. It was only natural that I drifted towards math and earned a BS and MBA, both in finance, from Rowan University and St. Joseph's University.

I spent many years working for big financial services firms that helped me grow and learn how to be a professional in the advice industry. I also saw women frequently struggle to have their voices heard. I gravitated towards them because their positions were familiar to me. At the time, I didn't know this was preparation for the next phase of my career.

In 2018, I formed WatchDog Planning to have more conversations with more women. The mission was to help them create financial plans that structure their wealth and answer those burning questions we all worry about as we age.

Working with women feels good to me and I'm inspired by so many of them. And helping them navigate retirement, with all its guts and glory, is my focus and passion.
